So I went to Big 5 to look for some sneakers. They didn't have what I wanted on sale anyway. I checked out the ammo, and found CCI 22LR for $5.50 per 50 rounds. So I bought some. Then I went to Walmart to check out their sneakers, still nothing. Did my usual walk by of their ammo case. They had a full stock of 22LR! Its the first time in over a year that they had any when I was there. $9.47/100.

Have the hoarders finally choked on all their ammo?

Holy Hell, I'm on my way.....

Good, hopefully it's a sign that things are normalizing.

It was the one near me. Rocky Ridge and Lead Hill. There was some guy who looked like he was from NevAHHHHdah City right behind me. I don't know... He was looking to buy his limit. They may not be there anymore.

There was plenty to be had at the gun show in Birmingham today, but I didn't get any. I did end up with 500 wolf .223 for $150, and 20 count boxes of .375h&h for $40.

I went to Walmart on Lead Hill Rd., to pick up some Cold-eeze. Strolling by the ammo case, I noticed they had 22lr boxes. I picked up 3. There were at least 3 more. If you're in Roseville, you might get lucky. $6.92/100

I went to the Lead Hill Walmart yesterday, they had lots of .22, (shorts, LR and Magnum) still a 3 box limit.  I got three boxes but they were $6 something a box of 50.  I didn't see any 100 round boxes.

Yeah, it was just over $20 for 150.  I already was paying by the time I realized they were 50 round boxes.  I'll pay much more attention next time.

Warning! Thread revival!!  :flipoff:

Anywho, since this a 22 thread. Literally, for the last 8-9 years I've been looking for a certain 22 shell. Used to be able to buy them all day long... but just as was/is the 22LR dilemma, so were these. What I hav'nt been able to find practically anywhere are the CCI 22 Short CB caps. These are lower grain, underpowered shorts, that when used in a bolt of lever rifle, make no more noise than a pellet gun. But still get the job done. Works great for the backyard enthusiast. ;-)
Long story short... I was down to my last box and totally freaking out. Until wifey and I went up to Oregon to visit Dad and I found 9 box's (which was the entire inventory) in a local hardware store! WooHoo!!! Score! This should last me a couple/few more years!  :cheers2:
