What did you do to your Jeep today?
« on: July 10, 2011, 01:06:22 AM »

Thought I would start the obligatory what did you do today thread.

I went up to my friends dads house to do a bunch of work today. He has a lift and air tools which makes things go eleventy times faster than doing it on the driveway.

Changed t case fluid
Changed differential fluid
Changed oil
Rebuilt the CV joint on my front driveshaft and installed it so now I have 4wd again.
Rotated tires

Rolled a truck down a cliff. Cracked ribs and bruises everywhere. Truck is totaled.  Glad I'm alive....... It's been a shitty weekend.

I'm glad you're alive too. When you say truck, I'm assuming it's not the TJ.

Moral of the story always wear your seatbelt! I probably would have walked out without cracked ribs if I was wearing mine. Im usually a Nazi about it, but i didnt think we were going off the side of a cliff. Glad i wasnt ejected from the truck..

Basically we took a turn going a little faster than we should have, slid off the gravel road, rolled probably 3 times down the cliff. Glad we both walked away.

I know I know. Im always a Nazi about it too. I just wasnt expecting that, and the road in is really bumpy so it was hurting my waste..... Ill always wear one again. Id rather not roll around in the cab hitting everything.  Probably wouldnt be sitting here with messed up ribs either.

I was the passenger. Driver made it out with nothing but a few scratches and a totalled truck..   Brian, don't mention this down in CP. The parents don't need to know about it. Lol

Holy shiat. You're lucky for not wearing a seatbelt. That's some serious carnage.
