What I didn't do to my Jeep today:
Those Explorer springs won't work on the front. The center pin offset is around 25"/30" which the 25 is still too long for my frame. They would work in the rear though. I will look into Durango, S10 and Trooper springpacks at 22/32, 21/27 and 21/26. Not sure of the rate and lift on them. Kind of limited with my 81" WB.
I set my air-down gadgets down to 7psi - done. Go slow everywhere but anywhere.  :hahaha:

There's a link on Pirate with leaf spring lengths, widths, pin offsets etc.  I don't know that I have it saved anymore, maybe Sean has it.

I was at PnP today with my son and looked at Rodeo leaf springs (same as Honda Pilot) and the 21/26" are plentiful. Guessing I could remove the overload leaf as it would catch on everything. Only checked one Durango and it didn't have that fantastic 22/32" pin offset. I ordered 2.5" spring and shackle hangers plus spring pads from Barnes 4wd. I couldn't find the spring chart on Pirate for spring rates.

Here's a thread with a bunch of info on spring rates, I didn't actually read it though.....  https://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/jeep-willys/2283090-leaf-spring-suspension-geometry.html

Here's a chart with lengths, offsets etc (it's not the one I was talking about but I can't find that one)....  https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1In5Mz6hklQ89TcGDU2OTJkTK2w8DN_aPwV6qQf1-45U/edit#gid=0

Good thing is you can save that one somewhere.

Thanks Tim. The spreadsheet gave me more choices than I previously had. I'm going to start with the rear as 3/4" wider springs will just fit next to my offset pumpkin. The longer frame length in the rear gives me more choices as well.

After you check Bronco Canyon off your list, there is a tough trail right here in Dayton. Hackett Canyon. I've run it twice, not sure I want to run it again. It is ruff and body damage is a possibility. FYI

I ran bronco last year in my yota but wasn't fun had an under built rig with us had to pull cable.

I've seen posts about hacket it's on my list to do! I like Eldorado canyon as well!

I'm always playing in Eldorado, I live right there. I'll probably be there today. Here is a link of my short video in Hackett. It doesn't do it justice though.

Trying to get miles on this new LJ build before it goes to Moab in Spring.  It's in '05 LJ with 4.0/manual.  Previous owner swapped in front high pinion dana 44 and a ford 9" in the rear.  Was a death trap to drive when I got it on some bad 36" swampers.  I've redone the front trackbar setup, put new tires on, and done a bunch of general maintenance.

Was happy the Warn 8274 seems to work well.

Came out next morning to a healthy pool of gear oil from the flipped dana 300 its using.  It was pretty moist from sitting for years but hadn't got the point it was badly leaking but I also hadn't put many miles on it.  After looking it over I found it had been put together with no vent at all.  I put one in yesterday and that should help out with the leaks.

Both front axle tubes also had gear lube coming out, its got an ARB in front I had used a few times in the snow that day.  I put in a slightly larger vent in the front axle, hopefully that will help but it wasn't too big of an increase.  It was about 60 miles in 4wd high but the seals are new so shouldn't have leaked.  Hopefully just the ARB releasing its pressure.

After replacing the intake gasket and valve cover gaskets Tim and I were able to get the EFI complete. As well as a steering pump cooler and almost completed a belly pan to cover to protect my T-case. Unfortunately as soon as I finished the welding I came up with some ideas on how it could have been better. Oh Well, next time.

Good progress. Now that you have a computer in there, don't forget to disconnect the battery when you do any welding.  My brother fried a Painless ECM, but his luck with that Bronco was awful.

Trying a different style to carry the 37” on this Jeep.  Hernia-inducing to get it in and out but hopefully shouldn’t be doing it often.
