CV half shaft replacement
« on: July 14, 2011, 09:57:07 PM »

Has anyone replaced a half shaft cv axle on a Lexus or Toyota? I think my cv boot has sprayed grease all over the wheel well. That's a precursor to failure and I'm thinking of trying replacement on my own.

It's a 1998 lexus es300. I bought it so that I could leave my Jeep in pieces for longer than a weekend. It's also nice on road trips. I was in the process of replacing the struts when I noticed this grease spray.

Not too difficult. Have helped a few friends do them. Not necessarily a Toy toy or a Lexus though.
