22LR prices
« on: June 17, 2015, 05:21:57 PM »

Woot! Finally was able to catch some 22LR at a reasonable price last nite and today.
1000 rds of CCI@ .08 per delivered from Gander Mountain and 1000 rds of Winchester at .07 per delivered from Midway. I refuse to pay the gouger prices so these were great scores. My daughter may now commence plinking.  :2thumbsup:

Hmmm, may have to snatch up some of that.

OK, well unless you know a secret, you bought it all.  The only thing I can find at either is .49 @ GM and .22 @ Midway (and that's crap ammo).

Lucked out both times. I found the CCI last nite while on ammoseek, jumped over to GM from there. Then today I got an email from Midway that one of my product notifications had hit. This is the first time I have ever been able to get checked out quick enough to actually get the item. I posted right after I checked out but they usually sell out in a few minutes. F'ing resellers and hoarders.

I'm looking for some 22 shorts, no one no where has any.  At Midway all but one says they're backordered with no expected arrival except one that says overdue.  Hopefully I'll get a notification and be able to grab some of those quick.

Sacramento black rifle had been getting a decent amount of .22. Thought they had some shorts there also

Just grabbed some shorts.  I need to get some LR too, but I'm too damn cheap to spend over a hundred bucks for a box of 500.  I've still got a box that has an $11 price tag from Big 5 on it.

I've got about 180 rounds of LR, and about 250 rounds of mag. Does make me a hoarder? :peep:

Nope!  You gotta add at least two zeros to those numbers before you're even close to a hoarder, that's just "personal use".  You know like 3gms of meth.

I think I have enough .22 lr to wage war on the Sacramento skunk population.

I hit up the Miwall clearance sale this am for some .38, 9mm and 45 acp's.
38 were $100/500
9mm were $186/1000
45acp were $146/500

One of these days I'll have to buy a gun to try these out...

Of 1000 9's 3 sat high in a gage. Not bad but not correct.

Only 1 defect found in the 45's. Cracked/bloated brass.

Did you have to wait long?  I've heard of guys standing in line for hours.  I've never gone over there for the Father's Day deal.

I was thinking it started at 8 so I showed up about 7:30am. They hand out number and let folks in in 50 number groups. I was in the first group so no, not long. From what I was told Sunday was mellower than Saturday. They are pretty efficient at getting people checked out, about 10 registers so overall it was a good experience. I believe LEO's get to go there anytime?

Yeah, we buy all our range ammo from them for discount.  But, we go through the range for purchase.  They're two separate businesses but Mike Walsh owns MiWal and is a partner in The Range.  He's also a reserve officer with GVPD, his son is a Sgt. at NCSO and the other partner in The Range is a retired Cpt. from GVPD, so they're pretty LE friendly.

So I went to Big 5 to look for some sneakers. They didn't have what I wanted on sale anyway. I checked out the ammo, and found CCI 22LR for $5.50 per 50 rounds. So I bought some. Then I went to Walmart to check out their sneakers, still nothing. Did my usual walk by of their ammo case. They had a full stock of 22LR! Its the first time in over a year that they had any when I was there. $9.47/100.

Have the hoarders finally choked on all their ammo?
