14 Bolt Open Carrier
« on: October 08, 2016, 08:10:38 PM »

Anyone have an open 14 bolt carrier or know where I can get one cheap?

Pulled mine apart today to put the Grizzly locker in it and realized it has that freakin' gov lock crap in it, which of course fell to pieces when I pulled it apart.  :shaking:

4.10 and down by the way.

That's a semi float 14 bolt, pretty sure Tim's is full float with a removable pinion. Mark

Yeah, mine's the full float.

CL was my first thought, I can't believe what some people are asking for them now.  I got mine complete for $120, saw a guy that wanted $500 for a 10 bolt and $800 for a 14, really??  WTF?

I can start searching salvages and just pull the carrier, but would like to just find one someone doesn't need anymore.

I know they can get me a new one.  Didn't even think to see if they had a used one sitting around.  Just called them, waiting on a call back.

I know you are asking Tim about his Grizzly, but...  On my recent snow runs I was wishing I had a selectable locker in the rear when I was on off-camber slopes. The ass end always wanted to kick down hill! An e-locker of some kind may be in my future.

From the reading I have done on pirate and other forums... a selectable rear is the way to go. Seems like the common setup is Detroit Front/ARB rear

It worked good, I would rather have another ARB but don't have the cashola.
