Cheapest Way to Ship 1/4" gas skid?
« on: January 07, 2018, 01:12:59 PM »

I have this almost completed skid plate sitting at my parents house in CA and I would like to get it out to AL where I am currently residing. I have finally have my own welder out there so would like to finish it up and replace my mangled stock gas skid. The skid weighs about 90lbs, is about 34.5" wide by 16" long, the tall side height is about 12.5" and the short side height is about 6.75". I was looking at greyhound or fed ex seem to be the cheapest options I have found.

I have some left over plate I would like to get out there as well but not dead set on it.

Any advice, tips, or pointers would be much appreciated.

I was going to recommend Grey Hound.

Those are my old mans he wears them until they come apart he loves em. Shipping it greyhound since they offer a 15% discount for students should put a nice dent in shipping.

Pelletize it and ship Fastenal

I shipped from Spanish Fork UT to Fresno CA a 4'x4'x8' crate weight 650lbs for $190ish
