So I am back to reality....... Great Vacation.

So now to the jeep.....

While I was gone, my buddy was a little busy........ Great friends are hard to come by these days.....

So my buddy, removed the seats and prepped the deck, then coated it!!!!!!   He filled a few holes along the way.

New side mirrors are on!

So next will be putting the seats in, new belts, new steering wheel, painting the lock boxes, painting the center console, painting the door panels and some new wheels!!!

Here is a few pics of the inside progress...

Prepped and ready to coat

3 Coats laid down

inside the gate!

so, Seats, seat belts, painted seat frames are in.

So tomorrow, I am going to get the steering wheel on, the new stainless bolts for the floor shifter and do some painting and touch up work.

I really like the seats and the new belts and up next will be ordering some new 1/2 door panels.

Had a chance to get the heavy duty spare tire carrier on, that accommodates 35" tires. Good think too, is my bumper has the hitch extender and the tire rest on top, so there is some benefit of taking the weight off the door and carrier. I will say the carrier is very sturdy.

Also, got the M.O.R.E Steering Brace on and painted!! Great fit, easy install and great insurance against sheering off the power steering box! Not to mention it looks great with the High Steer set up I have!!

I'd keep an eye on the spare tire, what tends to happen is the door itself tears apart where the carrier bolts in or at the hinges, not so much the carrier itself.

I agree with Tim. You're going to need something more underneath to relieve more weight. Even then, that 35" tire is going damage your tailgate with side to side, and up and down stress. I had a 33" tire with an aluminum wheel on my tailgate for only 6 months before I took it off, because it was damaging my tailgate. Seriously 33" and up should really be on a independent tire carrier, like a swing out or a drop down.

Roger that with the tire carrier. It is temporary (at least till the summer or so) as i figured as much... Just need to find the right deal for a independent carrier......  keeping my eyes open for one on CL or a really good sale

You can just take the tire off, if you're just tooling around town. The chances of needing a spare on the street are a lot slimmer than wheeling rocks.
