Procomp es9000 Shocks
« on: July 14, 2012, 03:24:59 PM »

First question:

So I went to the JY the other day and found a jeep with procomp shocks on it, snagged 3 (somebody took a front one), all for $4($20 off) and now I look on 4wheelparts website and it says the shocks are recommended for 3inch lifts, my question is, will it work the same with my 2inch lift?

Second question: I'm looking for a replacement one and the model number for the shocks are EXP92451 and on the website the only one closest to it is EXP924515. Will that work?

The best way to check if they will work is to use a forklift and flex out the suspension and see what the extended/ collapsed lengths are on your mounts and see if the shocks will correlate. Four wheel parts will order you shocks based on lengths btw

My experience is it normally takes at least a week if its not in stock.

Just make sure you bumpstop correctly if you put these in. I doubt you will have to, but check just incase. Using your shocks as a bumpstop is a big no no. Its grounds for blown shocks or ripping off a shockmount.

Nice find BTW.

No they don't. If you don't use the correct shock length, this will happen

Yeah, but on a YJ that happens even in stock form with stock shocks etc.
